Apply Job Type Full-time Description For patients with Telehealth appointments, Telehealth Specialists will be required to assist patients through the check in the remote eye exam process.Essential FunctionsConduct pre-testing and specialized testing for tele-optometric exams utilizing the following equipment:Pre-testing I- preliminary case history including current Medical History and Ocular Health.Pre-testing II - Autorefraction, Lensometry, tonometry, and topography.Special testing - visual fields, fundus photography, video slit lamp photography, Optos image scan.Wipe down all instruments in front of the patient prior to the exam.Complete patient registration, gathering and submitting pertinent patient information, including Medical History and Ocular Health dataMaintain Patient Readiness through Appt. Confirmation, intake, and MVC toolEnsure OD lens recommendation happens at all exams; Transfer patient and Lens Recommendation to a retail associateTransmit results from all pre-test instruments to secure the serverInitiate Remote Optical Assistant and Remote Doctor video conferencingAssist Remote Doctor and Remote Optical Assistant with refraction equipment placement and interacting with patients during RefractionPrint prescriptions, escort patients to the sales floor, and Transition patients for eyewear and contact lens purchaseRetrieve patient records to ensure complete information is on file before the appointment dateEnsure efficient patient flow by effectively communicating with team members and providersComputer System & Equipment Operation - accurate data entry, accurate Pre-testing operation, and maintenance of devicesPerform opening and close-out procedures according to the Telemedicine equipment operational standardsParticipate in Telemedicine Specialized training of all responsibilities as assignedAdhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e., HIPAA)Diligently maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and the overall facility on a daily baseWhen not functioning as the Telehealth Specialist, the associate will assume the Retail roles and responsibilities Requirements Job SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:1 year of work experience in Retail, Sales, or Customer/Patient Service Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organizationAbility to apply concepts of basic mathAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsPreferred SkillsMedical Pre-testing Equipment experience#LI-ONSITEThe compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
